Innova [in-no-va] :

to renew, restore, to return to a thing

Hello

Whatever brings you here, welcome! I know firsthand how hard it can be to reach out. Not only can it be confusing even to know where to start, but it can be difficult to find the right person, not to mention it is an investment! Whether you are facing anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, or just plain feeling stuck, I can appreciate what it takes to reach out. I am here to help you however I can in the process.

I offer a safe, encouraging, non-judgmental space for you to come as you are as I support and walk alongside you. Together, we will make sense of what is happening and why as you gain a better understanding of yourself and grow more secure in your relationship with yourself, others, and God. My goal is to help you get to the root of the issues you are bumping up against, not just offer behavior modifications or surface-level fixes. Innova is from the Latin verb meaning to make alterations or innovations. It means to renew, restore, or return to a thing. It aptly describes the kind of work we can do together.

My Approach

My approach is client-centered and collaborative. I am a pre-professional licensed clinical counselor (LPCC) in the state of Colorado with an M.A. in Clinical Mental Health from Grace College and Seminary. I have additional training in trauma, attachment, and somatic work for individuals and couples. (If you are looking for the specific clinical terms, I utilize Emotionally Focused Therapy- EFT, Internal Family Systems- IFS, Somatic Integrated Processing-SIP, Neurobiology, and EMDR.)

Basically, this means I focus on the connection between the mind, brain, body, and spirit and the significant relationships and experiences throughout your life that are impacting you in the here and now. In my experience, once we have more clarity and organization around who we are and why, it makes a huge difference in understanding what we need and how to move forward.

While my personal beliefs are in the Christian faith, and I offer professional Christian counseling, I welcome all clients regardless of your beliefs or background.  I would love for you to come as you are, to be seen and met as we work to move you into and through the work together.
